Your child will learn how to use ambitious vocabulary and higher-level punctuation to write a quest (adventure) story. We will practise grammatical skills and spellings in a structured and fun way using a range of sentence starters for effect and incorporating different literary devices such as figurative language and Show Not Tell.

Time: 6:30pm weekly

Dates: Wednesdays 4 January - 8 February 2023 (5 lessons total - no lesson Wednesday 11 January)

Duration: 1 hour per lesson

Class size: 6 students maximum

Resources:

You will need access to Google Drive, a pencil, pen and coloured pen for editing, plus paper.

Any resources provided by the tutor will be sent a day in advance.

Homework: Children may be asked to complete some tasks before the lesson.
